FIBROMYALGIA

TISSUES INFLAMMATION

Fibromyalgia is an inflammatory condition affecting the connective tissue. The fascial tissues are numerous throughout the body and providing an integrated support network for muscle fibers, joints and body organs. Inflammation of the peripheral and deep layers of tissue causes pain, tissue inflexibility, and may influence joint range limitation.

There are associated trigger points that help determine if the problem is actually fibromyalgia.

A program of very gentle AIS featuring short time duration and a moderate of repetitions is a positive, successful approach. When capable, incorporate a specific AIS strength program for the regions involved (with the most pain or the least range of motion).
